Tanoor is a family owned and operated authentic Lebanese restaurant in Sammamish. We moved to Sammamish in 2001 where we raised our 4 children. We always loved cooking and entertaining guests. Our guests kept asking us, “When are you going to open a Lebanese restaurant?” We finally decided to take the plunge and open tanoor. Our goal was to open a full-service restaurant with authentic Lebanese food, which was also Halal and celiac friendly. Our family has a history of Celiac disease and it was always a challenge for us to find safe and celiac-friendly restaurants
Our menu and space are designed to bring the flavors, smells, and atmosphere of Lebanon to Sammamish. When our windows are fully open in the warm months it truly takes us back to dining in the mountains of Lebanon. By day, we have wonderful views, and by night hanging lanterns illuminate our arches creating a beautiful and romantic feel. We have worked hard to create a menu with traditional Lebanese mezze, salads, grilled items, desserts and much more. We source the best ingredients, such as olive oil and olives, specialty cheeses, spices, teas, fresh produce, and of course 100% halal beef, lamb and mechanically slaughterred halal chicken . We make our pita from scratch and bake it in our pita oven. Our Hummus, Spicy Hummus and Babaghanouge are now so popular they are now sold in the Metropolitan Markets across the greater Seattle area
The food is delicious, and the dishes are so big, that you’ll need extra space in your belly 😁I believe that the owner really invested in the space and trainer staff well. They are very good!Parking lot is big. I was lucky, so I parked right in front of the restaurant. You can seat near the panoramic window or on one of the couches.
Tanoor is a very nice Lebanese restaurant. Every dish we had was outstanding. The Combo Shawarma was perfectly cooked and packed with bold flavors. The assorted olive and pickle appetizer was perfectly seasoned and also packed with rich, bold flavors. The portion size of every dish was large.Overall, Tanoor is a must try! Trust me when I say you will not be disappointed.
amazing food, beautiful views, grand windows and luxurious indoor seating area! Loved everything about this place!! Even the bathrooms were pleasantly stocked with toiletries.Service was respectful and generous and of course all the food we got was amazing! We ordered the Beef and Lamb Shawarma, the Shawarma Combo, and Muhammara which all went perfectly stuffed in the complimentary pita bread. The side of fries were delicious too!! well salted and soft while crisp on the outside
Really bummed out this wasn’t as good as everyone raved about. We had so many people recommend theduju chicken, lamb kababfattoush saladAlong with grape leavesPita with olive oil and zatarGrap leaves were from the can, absolutely disgusting .All our main dishes were cold, the rice with both entrees were not flavorful.Coffee was delicious , kunafa tasted as if something was missing!Service was decent!
The background and the aromas are so good. It smells just like Lebanese food and the decor is very enhancing. The complementary pita bread is one of the best I’ve had with the olive oil mix. The chicken shwarma and beef is really good. The yellow rice could be better, however garlic fries with the garlic sauce is the bomb it’s very delicious. Expensive but yummy.
