This is a very special store. We had first stopped into a neighboring rug shop and the two men couldn’t be bothered to even look up at us. So we went over to the Oriental Rug Gallery. We were impressed as we were instantly and warmly greeted by a very kind man. We looked around and my husband found some very small rugs from Afghanistan. We looked through the pile as we chatted with the shop owner. We exchanged stories of Afghanistan and Iran. I would love to visit the shop again but we are here to help our son move. I have always wanted to visit this store, as we have walked by numerous times. We were able to buy a small rug from Afghanistan to take back with us to California. I am very glad we stopped by.

My husband and I stopped in and had a lovely conversation with Sam. Sam is a small business owner, originally from Iran. He is very knowledgeable on rugs, generous, and kind. He helped us find the PERFECT rug within our budget. He has a passion for rugs, evidenced by his collection and breadth of knowledge.He has quite the gallery of options. Even if you aren’t shopping, the beauty of the rugs he has displayed in the store will blow you away.

I brought my 25+ year oriental rug in, which I bought somewhere else, to be repaired and cleaned as it had developed a loop pull in it which was expanding. The pull was expertly repaired and the rug looks really clean. Thank you for an excellent job, speedy service, and extra help getting it in and out of my car. I highly recommend Sam and this store!

I recently purchased my first Persian rug and I couldn't be happier with my purchase! The rug is simply beautiful and adds such a warm and cozy tough to my living room. The intricate design is stunning and the quality of the materials is top-notch.The process of buying a rug was seamless and the customer service I received was exceptional. The staff was knowledgeable and patient, answering all of my questions and helping me to choose the perfect rug for my space.Overall, I highly recommend Oriental Rug Gallery in Bellevue for buying a Persian rug. Thank you Sam. He really worked with us both in the store and in bringing the carpets to our Yarrow Point home. We could see them and then have some days to decide...of course he helped us so it turned out our first choice was the best choice.Over time, i have had questions about the rugs and he has been so helpful. I will update the review with more images of our items and the store. Rugs are handmade, often in wool. We felt confident in the information provided. He really listens and remembers helping to guide you as little or as much as you wish. While knowledgeable and charming, Sam treated us fairly providing good value. It was a lovely experience with no pressure. We offer our gratitude for making it a positive fun experience in what was, at first, a bit of an overwhelming experience . Thank you Sam and team!Oh and did I mention he even brought me a box of shoe mitts since I require them at my home or shoes off. He goes above and beyond. Go visit the store...

Absolutely wonderful experience at this shop. The owner had an incredible knowledge of his inventory, and when we mentioned the style and colors we were looking for found one that fit our preferences exactly! They currently have a great sale going on for many of these beautiful rugs. I'll definitely be a repeat customer when the time comes for another addition to our collection.
