Some members of our group felt unwelcome and experienced discriminatory behavior from the staff. The tone and attitude toward some of our family members were noticeably cold and dismissive. Restaurants should strive to be inclusive spaces, particularly when large families place their trust in them for a special holiday gathering.

We drove almost one hour to Khaghan restaurant in north Vancouver for our first family gathering at this restaurant. We were hoping this to be a very pleasant experience for all of us but unfortunately we disappointed in the shadow of unprofessional behavior of the staff. It seemed that the staff were intentionally mean to us as some of the ladies in our large group had hijab. They kept us waiting for the food for almost 1 and half hours which was too long comparing to many other restaurants we had have been. This was really hard specially for the five kids we had with us. There was no menu for children even a simple frize. When we asked the waitress about some options for the children she responded not in a nice tone.. the kids have to choose somthing from the main menu. When the kids got impatient we asked the waitress why it is taking too long to serve our food she was rude to us. And almost she sound like yelling at us: (it's coming soon )When food finally arrived most of them were almost cold. The hot breads we ordered most of them came to us cold. It seemed they had them somewhere in the shelf from previous time and they just put them on the plate and served them to us. The restaurant was so cold. The music was so loud with ridiculous annoying songs.The worse part among all of these we could see that the staff intentionally treat us with no respect. We wnted to leave the place before being served, but we didn't do it because it was disrespectful to our dear host.I do not recommend this restaurant. You will not get a welcoming treatments if your appearance or believes are not approved by the staff.

I recently had the misfortune of dining at khaghan with a big group, and I can confidently say it was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had.First off, despite having a reservation for a large group, our food took an eternity to arrive. We were left sitting there for what felt like ages.To make matters worse, there was no kid's menu available not even a french fries. It was as if they had completely forgotten that families might dine there. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. The quality was shockingly low . As for the service, it was just as bad as the food. Our server seemed overwhelmed and uninterested, forgetting our drink orders and taking forever to check on us.Overall, Khaghan was a complete disaster. If you value your time, money, and taste buds, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place!

It was my first time at a Persian restaurant in Vancouver, and coming from Toronto, which has plenty of Iranian cuisine, Khaghan was an absolute delight! The restaurant has a charming ambiance with a wide variety of options on the menu. Even the menu design was so cute, adding a thoughtful touch to the experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, and since we visited as a large group, the owner himself welcomed us with tea and baklava. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vancouver!

Very slow services! Rude and unfriendly waitresses! We booked tables in advance, but still witnessing that other tables who came even 30 min after us received services before us. Based on their waitresses , they have no options for kids! They must eat adult's food!! The quality of some orders were significantly low compared to others. Over 80 mins waiting for our orders!! The restaurant was very cold.

My experience going this restaurant wasn't good..the food's portion is getting smaller and the prices are getting more expensive than the quality and service. the top floor which is supposed to be for live music is not suitable for music and the singer always singing the smamo old songs it was so boring...not suggesting

The best within four dishes which we ordered was egg plant dish. Shashlik was good but because of happy hour, only two pieces served. I have no idea how many pieces comes in a usual dish.Unexpected and not welcoming service.. while we were dining the server started vacuuming the restaurant!!!! Unbelievably she was fixing her hair while she was cleaning cutlery!!!

We had our wedding at Khaghan restaurant on Monday, August 26th. Everything was perfect. The food was delicious. The staff were kind and helpful. The design was gorgeous.The owner of the restaurant,however, was a big problem. He forced us to go with the most expensive buffet menus because we had just 40 guests, which was the maximum capacity of the party hall, as it was completely full. Whatever you ask for, he will say yes, yes, and yes. But as soon as it gets to the payment time, he will ask for the whole amount including the service fees which does not make sense, because after that you do not have any leverage, and everything would be done as he wants. He changed the time of services as he wanted. Appetizers were served an hour later than we had asked, leaving only 30 minutes in between appetizers and dinner. When the last table went for dinner, most of the buffet dishes were less than half full, and after that, there was no more refill. Khaghan was one of our favorite restaurants which is why we chose it for a reception, but when the food is mildly warm and in low quantity, it doesn't hold the same appeal.Also, there was no service for our bride and groom table, not even a glass of water. Maybe he was not expecting us to eat anything. I was in charge of cleaning our table and putting the dirty dishes away, or finding something to drink. When you are forced to pay for the most expensive buffet plan, I expect more food and better service to be available.In general, it was much less than what I expected.Do I miss the food? For sure yes.Do I go back to the restaurant? Less likely.

“We’ve visited Khaghan Restaurant several times, and each time has been an excellent experience. The food is always delicious and fresh, especially the kebabs. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are very kind and professional. We’ll definitely be coming back!”

If you are looking for a Persian atmosphere here is really fine.About the Foods, that was acceptable and good in opinion but not perfect. I really recommended to try "Tahdigh".But about the service that was the worst, in that time we requested several times for any things (I guess that was the manager break time)

We visited khagan restaurant with my father who was visiting from out of the country.The place is beautifully decorated giving a very lovely atmosphere, the seating was great and the music was really nice and not too loud with amazing food.Our server Zeinab was very helpful in giving us recommendations we had a great time and again the food was amazingThank you Zeinab.We will be visiting again!

I had a great day at Khaghan restaurant. The food and environment were great. Zeinab, our beautiful waitress, was so kind, polite, and helpful! She served us very patiently. I appreciate her great job.By the way, you should try the Baklava! It was so delicious!Thank you 🫶🏽

I was surprised to see that Khaghan Restaurant has a relatively low rating on Google Maps. The food here is amazing! The chicken skewers were incredibly juicy and flavorful, and the pieces were big enough to be satisfying without being too much. The other meats were also excellent, and the eggplant dip was a delicious and flavorful side dish.Our server was very friendly and attentive, and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. The outdoor seating area was perfect for a warm summer evening. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Khaghan Restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious Persian food.

Their food was absolutely perfect. We ordered an appetizer (eggplant) and a main course (kabobs), and both were perfectly prepared. The fresh baked bread was just an icing on the cake that made our dinner special. Besides food, the place, the atmosphere, the design and set up is very cozy and relaxing. The employees had smiles on their faces, happy to serve us, and very pleasant and easy to talk to. And what made the whole thing so memorable was the manager’s (Farshid) interactions with us. Farshid welcomed us to the place, checked on us frequently, and even sat at our table and chatted with us, a lovely feeling that I have never gotten at any other restaurants. I highly recommend this place, because of their location, place, wonderful employees, and most importantly, their yummy food. ❤️❤️❤️
