We are the Kafé Neo Woodstone Group. The heart and soul of the company is Edmonds own Sofeea Huffman, who opened the original Kafé Neo Edmonds March of 1991. In late 1999, she embarked on her second venture; a similarly small Kafé Neo in the heart of Marysville that even features a drive-thru window. In 2005, Sofeea decided to remodel Kafé Neo Edmonds. She transformed a hole-in-the-wall Edmonds staple into a full dining experience as she revamped the entire restaurant and more than doubled the size of the dining area.
In 2008, Sofeea expanded into the vibrant Mill Creek Town Center with yet another revamped menu and a full bar. On top of expanding the menu, she took the catering side of the business to new levels.
She then put in motion a new venture, the Woodstone Taverna. The new concept is more versatile as it intertwines a generous tapas menu, enticing happy hour, and edgy late-night lounge. In late 2010, she moved forward and opened up Tablas Woodstone Taverna at the other end of the Mill Creek Town Center and Demetris Woodstone Taverna on the Edmonds waterfront. These two unique restaurants are warm, edgy, and great late-night additions to their surrounding communities. As she developed an extensive tapas menu Sofeea’s son, Demetri, orchestrated the remodels and late-night identities. With Sofeea’s final touches, she opened the doors to her fourth and fifth locations. The Taverna concept is still a family restaurant at heart, but adds a great late-night dimension as well.
2016 brought their 6th location, Kafé Neo Woodstone Taverna in Arlington. This location is a hybrid of the both the Woodstone Tavernas and the Kafé Neos featuring a delicious variety of Gyros, Flatbreads & many of the top selling items for both groups.
In 2018 we welcomed our 7th location, Kafé Neo Kingston with beautiful views of the Puget Sound & Mt. Rainier.
Freaking de-lic-ious!!! Our server, Laura, was so sweet and accommodating. She explained the menu throughly (we are vegan so we require subsitutions as we do not eat dairy or meat products) and she was very knowledgeable about each particular dish! We had the stuffed grape leaves, Apollo grain bowl with falafel, and the Grecian gyro. Everything tasted fantastic! Thank you so much for the whole experience- We really appreciate being well taken care of. It's hard to find a restaurant nowadays that isn't "judgy" or knowledgeable, and doesn't make you feel like they're shaming you for your diet. Even if you aren't vegan, it's sooo worth checking it out! They have lots of meat and vegetarian options as well.
We decided to pop in on a whim for breakfast. Food was AMAZING!!! The harissa... we can't stop talking about it. 10/10 recommend, we will be coming back!
Their gyro was so good, generous amount of veggies & tzatziki sauce. The price is just meh, but the portion & taste make it up for that. Def gonna come back. 10/10!!
Absolutely delicious! I love the portion sizes! So many restaurants waste food on these huge portion sizes, but here it’s absolutely perfect! Very filling! The staff are such beautiful people and so nice! Highly recommend the lamb lollipop!
Cafe Neo is my favorite go to spot! I really wish they had breakfast more than just on the weekends :/ it’s my favorite part about the cafe! All of their food is delicious. A little on the pricier side though, but really yummy!
Ambience and service is good, I am not a big fan of the food though. We went unknowingly during happy hour which is between 3 PM to 6 PM every day including weekends and we ordered falafel with Tzatziki, spanakopita and Greek fries. Nothing’s super delicious but not too bad either. Prices are reasonable.
Our first visit to Kafé Neo was enjoyable. It was wonderful dinner and service. For our dine-in experience, Trevor went above and beyond, so I wanted to give him a special shout-out.
