This doctor was my primary care doctor for a few years. I went in one day about a rash on the back of my scalp. She looked at it for a few seconds and said it was bed bug bites; which I knew was not true because I didn’t have any other bites and did not have bed bugs. I had to go and see a dermatologist and he did a deep look at it and correctly diagnosed me and gave me a topical cream to help. This is not the only time she was in a rush and misdiagnosed me leading me to seek a second opinion. The final straw for me was when my psychiatrist retired from practicing and I needed a refill on one of my mental health medications. I reached out to make an appointment to have them filled by Dr Hedayati in order to get me a refill until I could find a new psychiatrist. I forwarded her all of my records from my psychiatrist with a list of medications I’d been taking for YEARS. She refused to fill one of them for my ADHD saying that even though she had my medical records, she wanted to personally reevaluate me for my ADHD before filling it. Which is not a short process and can be expensive. I ended up being without my medication for weeks, causing withdrawals, a severe panic attack that had me on the phone with a crisis hotline, and anxiety just to name a few. I was unable to perform my day to day duties at my job to the best of my ability. It was a terrible experience.Do not go to this doctor. I love Virginia Mason and have nothing but good things to say about all other doctors I have seen there. But Dr. Hedayati made me feel terrible and like she didn’t believe me or my years of medical records and past diagnosis from a psychiatrist who specializes in mental health. To have a patient calling you begging for help because they are withdrawing from something they NEED is simply unacceptable in my opinion.
Dr. Hedayati has been my primary care provider for several years. She always listens, educates, and makes excellent care plans for me. I am very happy with her and with the care I receive at Virginia Mason.
