I recently dined at Chelo, and while the food was absolutely delicious, the experience was completely soured by the atrocious customer service. The staff were inattentive, unfriendly, and seemed like they couldn’t care less about the customers. It felt like an inconvenience just to get basic service, which really overshadowed the great taste of the food. The atmosphere was mediocre at best—nothing memorable. It’s a shame because the kitchen clearly knows what they’re doing, but the dreadful service makes it hard to recommend this place to anyone
I reside in Seattle Washington at have dined at all the Persian restaurants in Western Washington. I have also recently dined at the three of the best Persian Restaurants in Los Angeles and Orange county. Chelo's koobideh, jujeh and rice was the best I have had in the last 10 years. I know my statement is subjective but I really love food and it shows. Besides that my ghanoom also known as girlfriend is very picky about her food. Point being very hard to please and vocal about bad food. Sometimes thinking i should have gotten a mail order bride from an Asian country. She said it was all delicious and i have never heard that in over 20 years. The koobideh was very tender, flavorful and large thick long skewers. The chicken kabob was excellent also. Very tender seasoned just right and a generous portion. The rice was magical long grain, fluffy and very aromatic. If you are ever in north Vancouver you have to try this place. The manager takes great pride in running a top notch establishment. Persians are ridiculously hard to please and saw that most patrons of the restaurant with full bellies and gigantic smiles.
We recently had an experience at Chelo restaurant which offers perfect Persian food and has inviting atmosphere. However, the service could use improvement, as the servers was somewhat inattentive and slow with our orders. Despite this, the overall experience was enjoyable, and I would still recommend giving it a try.
I ordered a delivery from this restaurant, but the order was missing some drinks. When I called the restaurant to report the issue, they told me to come to the restaurant and pick up the missing items, which I was unable to do due to traffic. When I asked for a refund, they asked me to call again after 30 minutes. However, when I tried calling again, no one picked up. Additionally, the food quality was very poor compared to other Persian restaurants in the area with similar pricing. It's possible to find much higher quality food at other restaurants in North Vancouver.
At first I really loved the quality of this restaurant. Recently I tried it for several times but I got disappointed each time. Also, the service and customer care is not good at all. I do not recommend it.
It was my first time here. Loved my experience. The service was good, food was absolutely delicious. I got the tachin chicken, this was my first time ever trying it and it was sooo good! The chicken was literally fall off the bone soft and tender. Will definitely dine here again.
I recently dined there and was impressed with the quality of food and the level of service. They've got some awesome new kebabs. The food was really tasty, especially the chelo kebabs – tender meat and flavorful saffron rice.If you're in the mood for authentic Iranian cuisine, check this place out!
New restaurant on the block. Food was good. The mirzeh Ghasemi was excellent and well seasoned. Salad was great as well with the beet dressing. Loghmeh Kabob was okay, nothing spectacular but it gets a pass. Will definitely come back to try some other dishes to get a better feel for the food at this place.
Going to this Iranian restaurant was a very good experience. The food menu is very interesting and exciting for Iranians, their prices are reasonable and they have good quality. Foods are prepared relatively quickly and have very delicious buttermilk.Of course, the fast preparation of the food is related to the time when the restaurant is quiet. If it is a bit crowded, they take orders very, very late and bring the food very late. Also, the music played here is very happy and loud, and I don't think this kind of music is suitable for the restaurant atmosphere.
I gave this restaurant a visit after I heard good things from a friend. The space is airy and open, suitable for big groups and events. A well sized bar with a decent selection on the left. The star of the show is the food and the reasonable pricing is a bonus. The service is friendly and we got our food fairly quickly. I got the kabob torsh which was phenomenal and my partner got the Vaziri which was also great. This place deserves a 4.5+ rating and I would 100% recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good Persian meal with a reasonable price.
