The server thinks she is the queen of the world so much attitude and asked me” what do you want?” when she was taking my order! Do not waste your money in that restaurant!
I ordered koobideh kabab, chicken kabab, and a serving of rice. The kababs were tough and discolored, the chicken smelled strange, and the rice was undercooked and tasteless. The prices are ridiculously high for such a low-quality meal—$70 for a meal that caused stomach pain after eating it? Seriously, what is going on in your kitchen? This was my first and last time trying your restaurant.
Super expensive, horrible customer service. Two ladies and the owner are so arrogant, It is like they are the customer and you are the waiter whenever you walk into that place. $25 for a koobideh 10$ forMasta mosir and a mandatory 20% tip is insane. The problem is that the Persian community should stop supporting these overpriced and bad Persian restaurants in Seattle. Save yourself time and headache and money—drive to Vancouver, BC, and enjoy tons of good Persian restaurants there with reasonable prices and very good customer service and actually great foods. Stop supporting these businesses please.
Not sure why they are still in business with their poor customer service. I stopped going there. There are some alternative persian restaurants these days nearby. Try other restaurants.
"I'm still upset after my terrible experience at Caspian Bellevue restaurant! The server was very rude and talked down to us, making our meal a disaster. When we ordered kebabs, she kept repeating the prices, like we couldn't read the menu ourselves. It felt like she was treating us like we needed charity. I smiled and said it was okay, but she wouldn't stop talking about the prices. It was like she was trying to make us feel bad about our choice. But it didn't work! We're not naive, and we won't be pushed around by a pushy server. The worst part? She added a $20 tip to our bill without asking! That was just adding insult to injury. We won't be going back to this overhyped restaurant anytime soon. Save your money and your sanity – stay away from Caspian Bellevue!"
They have the worst customer service and management. The food quality is a 1 out of 10. There are other decent Persian restaurants with better food at lower prices. Non-Iranians might not notice the quality, but as an Iranian, I do, and the food here is awful and overpriced, especially considering the poor service and attitude.
I’ve been their customer for many years. After Covid they offered take out and we took out orders. Haven’t gone back since then. It is on a pricey side but the food is excellent, and the environment is very inviting. The owner is a lovely man and every time I was waiting for my take out he would offer me Persian tea with cube sugar. It was a very kind gesture.
This is a restaurant that has been around for while. The food is generally good. However, during my last visit there was an unannounced 20% forced tip. Tip is at the discretion of the customer. It cannot be forced onto customer. Store also cannot set the rate. Adding 20% to the bill without even giving the customer an option is disrespectful. Therefore, I am not going to this restaurant anymore. What you do may be legal but it is not customer friendly. You will probably make more money in the short term but will lose customers in the long term.
Had the lamb kabob and baba ghanoush. I was a little disappointed with both. The baba ghanoush had a very thin almost watery consistency and was very much lacking in flavor. The lamb chunks in the kebab were tough. Didn't finish either plate.
Very rude and unprofessional management. We just walked out upon arrival due to his insult actions. Never seen a business like this in my life even in 3rd world country. We got there at 2:30 pm and he said we are closed while their website shows the restaurant is open and some customers were sitting at the tables. I mentioned that we came from a long distance and we very hungry, the owner said this time I let you in but next time call before you come. I answered I didn’t know that I have to call when I am going to a restaurant to have lunch. This guy who seems to be the owner rudely asked us to leave and said we are closed. I should report his actions and his business to BBB and local chamber of commerce. I am wondering why a public restaurant door should be closed during the business hours operations? Fishy business.
It’s a great place to try they have good food and services but they are very expensive dined for 2 you will easily spend over 100. Because of this I can’t be a repeat customer.
Well, first of all While the food at this supposedly fancy restaurant was enjoyable for our lunch, I felt unpleasantly surprised when they automatically added a 20% gratuity charge for just two people without informing us beforehand. I politely informed the staff that this practice seemed unfair and possibly illegal. To my dismay, they included additional charges, the nature of which I wasn't clear about. Moreover, a $10 charge for a cup of tea and an extra $7 in fees contributed to a final bill of $84 for two simple dishes listed at $24 each on the menu! This experience left me feeling disappointed, and I would caution others to be wary of this restaurant. Big scam restaurant!!!
Horrible customer service, horrible food!! DO NOT GO HERE!! I don’t even know why this place is still open! They have the rudest staff, prices are incredibly hight, and food is horrible! This is the WORST Persian restaurant in this area! Save yourself and go somewhere else. I had the worst experience!
Take-out only. Shahrayar the owner was professional when taking my takeout order. The estimated Pick-up Time was 5:10pm. The food was prepared Hot N' Ready at 5:00pm. This restaurant has been serving Authentic Exquisite Persian food in Bellevue since forever. What I like about this restaurant is that the owners have set a High Standard for their Food Quality which made them never cut corners. All other Persian Restaurants have tried to copy Caspian but Caspian remains The OG of all Persian Restaurants in the PNW. Their rice although was unsalted but I never had tasted such Excellent Rice in my life. When you eat rice at Caspian, you will know how excellent rice tastes like and how Mediocre the rice is served in other Middle Eastern / Persian / Indian Restaurants. We respected the fact that the restaurant is doing take-out orders only and it was clear on their Website. The kids enjoyed their Koobideh with Rice. We will be back for more take-out orders in the future from Caspian with a smile 🙂
It’s a shame that the food is good but the customer service is so terrible. Just look at the reviews below and see how the owner responds back. A successful business should be customer centric and it is so unfortunate that they lack just that. The woman upfront needs to be heavily coached as she never greets customers, is cold and beyond dismissive. This restaurant needs new management ASAP otherwise it won’t be around much longer.
My friend and I got a takeout kebabs and faced the same issue as everyone, extremely poor customer service. I was shocked but it became evident that many people faced the same issue as I did with the rude and unhappy lady. I'm not sure why this restaurant has not gone out of business yet, but unless they improve their customer service approach, it appears that their downfall may be imminent.
Went there on a Sunday around 6pm. One of the staffs walked out as she saw us parking and asked us if we had a reservation. She said we only accept reservations, while there’s no information about that on google maps or their website. The whole conversation was very awkward and she looked so upset seeing us. This was our first time going to this restaurant and for sure the last time. She hesitantly offered us to dine in emphasizing that they are closing in an hour. We didn’t dine and left.
Caspian has the best kebabs - we love their beef, chicken and ground beef kebabs. Great service too. As I pulled up, they brought my food out and it was sitting ready for me right on time and ready to go.
The food was decent but the lady working there was absolutely rude and this makes me not want to eat there anymore. I think she hates her job and possibly her life. I hope she seeks some help and stop being miserable and rude to the customers.
Have tried many Persian restaurants in PNW including Seattle, Portland and Vancouver, BC and must say Caspian by far has the best quality Persian food among all of them.I don’t know how they do it but their Barg, Koobideh and Persian rice are the most delicious and best quality ever.We love their Gheimeh too.Have introduced Caspian food to many of our friends and colleagues and they were amazed with their quality and hooked with Caspian as well.
I’ve been going to caspian since 2005 . They used to be located in U District. Both brothers are super nice and friendly. Food is really good. But, the lady is very rude and disrespectful.I’m not happy writing this but, If not for the two nice brothers, I would have left them with 1 star review.Unfortunately, after all these years I’m not going there anymore.
This is a very nice place, too nice for a break-up. It will need to wait. Everything was amazing, with the food. She has been a real pain. It's still worth every penny because of the flavors and also for the time she was finally chewing, so I had some time to think.
They need to update their page as take out only. It says dine in, in an upscale setting. Customers should not be inconvenienced and lose their time getting here to find out it's take out only. This place was recommended by Iranian friends. I'll give them this feedback as well. Don't recommend me places like this.
